Warranty Policy

Warranty Term Length:  

Alteck™ warrants to the first non-dealer purchaser of any of its branded products that they are to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase. Outdoor finishes are warranted for two (2) years, except coastal applications. LED light modules are warranted for five (5) years.

Limitations

“Normal wear” refers to gradual deterioration of a product (e.g. minor scratches, fading, loosening, etc.) that is expected over time due to regular use and, therefore, not considered a defect covered under the Alteck™ Warranty Policy. Although Alteck™ uses the best available materials and does extensive testing for finish endurance, some fading or chalking may occur and is considered “normal wear”. Some corrosion and/or deterioration is considered “normal wear” in some environments, such as coastal settings. Therefore, any finish claim due to environmental conditions (coastal or otherwise) is not applicable to Alteck’s™ warranty. If a product is defective, all efforts will be made to correct the problem in the field. If the problem cannot be resolved, a return merchandise authorization (RMA) number may be issued. Alteck’s™ obligation is expressly limited to repair or replacement, without charge, after prior written return authorization has been granted. Alteck’s™ obligation under this warranty shall not extend beyond the distributor’s initial purchase price of the product and accordingly any consequential damages or labor costs arising out of a defect are expressly excluded.

Exclusions: 

This warranty shall be void on products that have been altered, improperly installed, mishandled, misused, or stored in excessively humid or hot conditions for an extended period. Notice of a defect must be received in writing by Alteck™ within  two (2) years from the date of purchase (or according to a corresponding sales document which supersedes this policy). Excluded from warranty are all battery backups, and any third party component which carries its own manufacturer’s warranty. Note: Alteck’s™ product warranty applies only to purchases from authorized Alteck™ distributors.

THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION ON THE FACE HEREOF INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
